This area includes products for consumers such as food and pharmaceuticals, but also starting materials for industrial processes.
We try to understand, on a molecular and supramolecular level, how the properties of ingredients and processes can be controlled to give products their desired properties. The science is based on surface and colloid chemistry, powder technology and understanding the function of enzymes and microorganisms.
